Partially Remove Inner Side Wall With Rear Outer Wheelhouse - Ar63.10-P-6050-01LWT

Model 213.2 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Mark separating points on inner side wall (1) and cut (areas A and B).

    IMPORTANTDimensions: 

    a = approx. 35 mm

    b = approx. 35 mm

  2. Expose spot welds on inner side wall (1) and cut out (areas C).
  3. Expose spot welds on inner side wall (1) and drill with Ø 6.5 mm bit (area D).

  4. Heat inner side wall (1) in crosshatched area.
  5. Remove inner sidewall (1).

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched area is bonded.

  6. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  7. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (area E).

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

    IMPORTANT Observe preliminary treatment of bonding surface.
