Install D-Pillar - Ar63.20-P-2000-03LWT

Model 213.2 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Install strut (2), fit and fix in place.
2. Drill rivet holes in strut (2) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area A).
3. Remove strut (2).
4. Deburr rivet holes in strut (2) and body on both sides.
5. Remove drilling chips.
6. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

7. Install strut (2) and fix in place.
8. Rivet strut (2) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (area B).

   Clamping range 1.3 mm to 1.4 mm.

9. Strut (2) (areas C).
10. Strut (2) (areas D).

11. Apply sealant to strut (2) in crosshatched area.

12. Install D-pillar (1) and fix in place.
13. D-pillar (1) (areas E).
14. D-pillar (1) (area F).

    Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between. This reduces heat distortion.

15. Grind inert gas weld on D-pillar (1) down flat (area F).

    Grind down flat only on beaded areas and contact areas of rear fender.

16. Clean weld joints that are no longer accessible after rear fender is installed, and coat with zinc dust paint.
