Install C-Pillar - Ar63.20-P-0500-03LWT

Model 213.2 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Install C-pillar (1), fit and fix in place.
  2. Drill rivet holes in C-pillar (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area a).
  3. Remove C-pillar (1).
  4. Drill rivet holes in C-pillar (1) and deburr on body on both sides.
  5. Remove drilling chips.
  6. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

  7. Clean contact surfaces on foam parts (2) on C-pillar (1).
  8. Apply sealant to C-pillar (1) and insert foam parts (2).
  9. Apply sealant to foam part (2) of C-pillar (1) in crosshatched area.

  10. Install C-pillar (1) and fix in place.
  11. Rivet C-pillar (1) with Ø 6.4x12 rivet (area C).

    IMPORTANT Clamping range 1.3 mm to 1.4 mm.

  12. C-pillar (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ARROW SPOT WELD (areas D).
  13. C-pillar (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area B).

    IMPORTANT Perform inert gas welding at intervals and allow to cool down in between. This reduces heat distortion.

  14. Grind inert gas weld on C-pillar reinforcement (1) down flat (area B).

    IMPORTANT Grind down flat only on beaded areas and contact areas of rear fender (area B).

  15. Clean weld joints that are no longer accessible after rear fender is installed, and coat with zinc dust paint.
