Install And Weld In TAILLAMP Reinforcement - Ar63.20-P-2011-03LWT

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Install rear lamp reinforcement (1), fit and fix in place.
- Drill rivet holes in rear lamp reinforcement (1) with Ø 6.7 mm bit through existing holes in body (area G).
- Countersink rivet holes from outside (area G).
- Remove rear lamp reinforcement (1).
- Deburr rivet holes on rear lamp reinforcement (1) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
- Apply sealant to body on crosshatched area.
- Install rear lamp reinforcement (1) and fix in place.
- Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (1) with Ø 6.4x14.0 countersunk head rivets (areas A).
Clamping range 1.9 mm to 3 mm.
- Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (1) with Ø 6.4x15.5 countersunk head rivets (area B).
Clamping range 4.5 mm.
- Rear lamp reinforcement (1)
(areas C).
- Install closing panel (2), fit and fix in place.
- Drill rivet hole in closing panel (2) with Ø 6.7 mm bit through existing hole in body (area D).
- Countersink rivet hole from outside (area D).
- Remove closing panel (2).
- Deburr rivet hole in closing panel (2) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Coat insides of riveted joint with zinc dust paint.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in cross-hatched area.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Install closing panel (2) and fix in place.
- Rivet closing panel (2) with Ø 6.4x14.0 countersunk head rivet (area E).
Clamping range 2.2 mm.
