Expose impact spikes on rear-end floor (1) and cut out (area B).
- Bend open sheet metal lugs (arrow).
- Expose spot welds on rear-end floor (1) and cut out (area C).

Expose spot welds on rear-end floor (1) and drill out with a 6.5 mm diameter bit (areas E and F).
Drill out spot welds from below (area E).

Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas (areas R and S).
Sand down inside of mating surfaces to bare metal (areas S).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

Sand down inside of mating surfaces to bare metal (areas U).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
