	Remove/install
1	Move head restraint all way down.	Model 257 except code 287 (Through-loading feature)
2	Remove seat cushion in rear passenger compartment.	Model 257 except code 287 (Through-loading feature)	AR91.12-P-1021FR

3	Disconnect seat heating electrical connectors below seat backrest (1).	Model 257 with code 872 (Left and right rear seat heating) except code 287 (Through-loading feature) Model 290 with code 872 (Left and right rear seat heating) except code 224 (Rear individual seat design) except code 287 (Through-loading feature)
4	Unscrew bolts (4).	Nut/bolt, bottom of backrest to body	*BA91.12-P-1001-03M
5	Unscrew nuts (3).	Nut/bolt, bottom of backrest to body	*BA91.12-P-1001-03M
6	Press seat side bolsters (2) of seat backrest (1) towards rear and unhook inwards.
7	Remove backrest (1) upwards from hooks (5).	Ensure that backrest (1) is seated correctly in hooks (5).
8	Guide right and left seat belts behind backrest (1).
9	Pull out center seat belt and remove seat backrest (1).	Model 257 except code 287 (Through-loading feature) Carefully remove backrest (1) from vehicle. Otherwise components of the vehicle may be damaged. Helper required.
10	Install in the reverse order
