Activate pad replacement mode 

1. Switch on ignition.
2. Close hood.

   If the instrument cluster displays an "Engine hood open" message.

3. Select the total distance in the "Trip" menu in the instrument cluster.

   Swiping movement from left to right and vice versa on the finger navigation pad enables browsing through the main menu.

   Wiping from top to bottom and vice versa on the finger navigation pad in the submenus enables you to scroll through the submenus or lists.

   Pressing on the finger navigation pad of the instrument cluster enables confirming the current selection or pending messages.

4. Press the "Back" button and hold for 1.5 s and press the instrument cluster on the finger navigation pad.

   The "Workshop" menu is opened.

5. Activate pad replacement mode using corresponding selection option in the "Pad replacement mode" menu.

   Do not depress the service Brake while "Move to assembly position" is shown.

   Otherwise, the spindle in the Brake caliper will be damaged.

   The assembly position is moved to.

6. Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).

   This prevents any unintended deactivation of the pad replacement mode.

   Deactivate pad replacement mode 

   Deactivate brakepad change mode only with mounted Brake pads and with mounted Brake caliper.

   Otherwise the Brake piston will be pushed out of the Brake caliper.

7. Switch on ignition.
8. Deactivate pad replacement mode using corresponding selection option in the "Pad replacement mode" menu.

   The assembly position is exited.

9. Exit the "Workshop" menu.
