1. Expose spot weld on wheel well (1) and cut off (area A).

   

   Spot welds must be cut off on the wheel well (1) from above.

2. Expose spot welds on wheel well (1) and cut off (areas B₁ , B₂ , B₃ , B₄ , B₅ , B₆ ).

   

   Joint spot welds on panels that are one behind the other must be cut off through two panel thicknesses.

3. Expose spot welds on wheel well (1) and cut off (areas C₁ , C₂ , C₃ ).
4. Expose spot welds on wheel well (1) and drill through with Ø 6.5 mm (area D).

5. Heat wheel well (1) in cross-hatched areas.

   

   Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

6. Take off the wheel well (1).
7. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   

   Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

8. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
9. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas E₁ , E₂ , E₃ , E₄ , E₅ , E₆ ).

   Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

   

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
