- Place panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) onto suitable base with inside pointing upward.
- Cut down residual adhesive beads (2) on panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) to a remaining height of approx. 1 to 2 mm using a scraper.
If the panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) is to be reused.
- Remove residues of spacers (3) completely.
If the panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) is to be reused.
- Clean panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1).
If the panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) is to be reused.
Commercially available devices/tools
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
- Clean bonding surfaces on panoramic sliding roof frame (1).
The cleaner is included in the repair kit.
Apply cleaner only to bonding surfaces and allow to dry completely.
It is not necessary to prime the bonding surfaces.
- Install new spacers (3) as shown.
- Place panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) onto body and use the
feeler gauge to align the distance between the top edge of the window and the roof front edge/sliding roof frame.
Two helpers required.
Center panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) between side roof panelings and windshield.
- Affix the strips of adhesive tape and cut through at the outer edges of the panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1).
- Place panoramic sliding sunroof frame (1) onto suitable base with inside pointing upward.
- Apply activator to bonding surfaces on panoramic sliding roof frame (1).
The activator is included in the repair kit.
