General 

The gesture recognition system control unit evaluates the signals from the hand motion sensors and forwards the resulting signals (e.g. operation signals).

The gesture recognition system control unit is located in the trunk on the left behind the side trim.

Function requirements

Function 

On vehicles with a camera in the driver display, the gesture recognition system control unit receives a synchronization signal from the camera.

The synchronization signal is required to avoid any image interferences because both the camera in the driver display and the hand motion sensors illuminate their detection range.
