Drain/Fill Oil Of Rear Axle Differential - AR35.31-P-0520-07MNA

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REPAIR MATERIALS

BR00.45-Z-1061-01A Sealant, Omnifit 100H (50 g) A 002 989 23 71

Drain oil 

  1. Clean area around drain screw (50h).
  2. Remove drain screw (50h) and collect oil in suitable container.

    IMPORTANT Replace drain screw (50h).

  3. Clean new drain screw (50h) and threaded hole in rear axle differential (50) using cleaning spray.

    IMPORTANT Drain screw (50h) and threaded hole must be free of oil and grease.

  4. Apply a drop of sealant to lower third of thread of drain screw (50h).
  5. Screw drain screw (50h) immediately into rear axle differential (50) and tighten to specified torque TORQUE SPECIFICATION .

    Pour in oil 

  6. Clean area around oil filler screw (50 g).
  7. Remove and replace oil filler screw (50g).
  8. Pour in oil. Model 253.388/389/988/989

    FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 205.386/387/486/487 FLUID SPECIFICATION

    IMPORTANT Observe differentiating features in order to determine the correct oil filling capacity.

    IMPORTANT With the correct oil level the oil reaches up to the bottom edge of the threaded hole.

    Cleaning 

  9. New oil filler screw (50g) and threaded hole in rear axle differential (50) with cleaning spray.

    IMPORTANT The oil filler screw (50g) and tapped hole must be free from oil and grease.

  10. Apply one drop of to lower third of thread of oil filler screw (50g).
  11. Screw oil filler screw (50g) immediately into the rear axle differential (50) and tighten to the specified torque TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
