Due to an express customer request as of.......... the function of the sidebag, automatic child seat recognition (ACSR [AKSE]) and the seat occupied recognition (SBE) and the acoustic reminder to wear seat belts on the passenger-side have been deactivated. There is an increased risk of injury for occupants due to this measure. There may, in particular, be
- no activation of the sidebag,
- no automatic deactivation of the front passenger airbag, when the front passenger seat is not occupied,
- no deactivation of the front passenger airbag despite the use of an MB-child seat with transponder (automatic deactivation of the front passenger airbag) and
- no 2-stage deployment of the front passenger airbag
as a consequence. Due to the lack of an acoustic reminder to wear seat belts there is the risk that the front passenger may forget to wear the seat belt.
This is expressly pointed out to the customer who undertakes likewise to inform other users of the vehicle. The sign "Warning! This vehicle does not have automatic child seat recognition!" was mounted to the right-hand side of the armatures.
