	Check
1	Assess brake pad thickness (1) of brake pads on front axle.	If necessary, use a flashlight (2) or a mirror (3). The thickness of the pad backing plate can be used as a reference when assessing the brake lining thickness (1).
		Front axle Brake lining thickness If, in exceptional cases, assessment through a visual inspection is not possible. ↓ Remove front wheels and assess them. After obtaining special order.	*BE42.10-P-1001-05V

3	Determine expected remaining distance of brake pads.		AP42.10-P-4253-03EW
		To determine the prospective remaining distance for each axle, refer to the brake pad with the least brake pad thickness (1). In order to avoid an unscheduled workshop visit between services, determine the remaining distance of the present brake pads. If the remaining distance determined is less than the next service interval, advise the customer to replaced the brake pads before the due service date. If the wear limit for the brake pads is reached, ↓ Replace brake linings. After obtaining special order.
