	Preparatory activity
1	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15)
	Check
2	Check preglow indicator lamp (2)	If present. The preglow indicator lamp (2) must light up and then go out. If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
3	Check coolant temperature gauge (5) and coolant temperature warning lamp (4)	The display of the coolant temperature gauge (5) must indicate the current coolant temperature and the coolant temperature warning lamp (4) must light up. If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
4	Check fuel level indicator (9) and fuel reserve warning lamp (8)	The fuel level indicator (9) must show the corresponding fuel level in the fuel tank, and the fuel reserve warning lamp (8) must light up. If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
5	Check multifunction display (7) for visible pixel faults, true vertical strips, failed segments or black points	If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
6	Manually switch on the exterior lights
7	Check instrument illumination	The tachometer (3) and speedometer (10) must be lit. If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
8	Actuate instrument illumination brightness control	The instrument illumination must be brighter or darker to match. If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
9	Manually switch off exterior lights
10	Switch on lamps in passenger compartment and check for proper operation	If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
11	Switch off lamps in passenger compartment
