Remove/Install Striker Pin Mounting Bracket For Soft Top Compartment Lid - AR77.30-P-3978LWR

	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Risk of injury  when performing check and repair work in area of roll bar	Keep body parts out of the area where the roll bars extend. Do not use the cover in the area of the roll bar as a storage place for objects.	AS91.00-Z-0003-01LCA
	Remove/install
1	Open trunk lid
2	Unscrew nut (1)
3	Loosen trunk paneling (2) from bolt (3) and unhook cable (4)
4	Close trunk lid
5	Move soft top to repair position R2	Installation:  Completely close soft top.	AR77.30-P-1030LWR
6	Cover rear fender
7	Unscrew nut (5) and loosen trunk paneling (6) in soft top compartment
8	Lift retainer (7) using a suitable screwdriver and detach soft top compartment cover hydraulic cylinder (8) at bottom	Do not remove retainer (7). Retainer (7) preload can otherwise be lost.
9	Disconnect electrical connections (9)	Only one electrical connector is present on the right side of the vehicle.
10	Mark installation position of striker pin mounting console (11) to body
11	Remove screws (10)	Installation:  Align striker pin mounting console (11) according to markings. Model 205.4 Bolt, mounting support for striker pin to body	*BA77.33-P-1005-03A
		Model 238.4 Bolt, mounting support for striker pin to body	BA77.33-P-1005-03B
12	Remove striker pin mounting console (11) together with cable (4)	Observe routing for cable (4).
13	Install in the reverse order
