General
The subwoofer amplifier has the following functions:
- Amplifying the audio signals for the subwoofer
- Outputting audio signals via the rear subwoofer
For some AMG engines, the subwoofer amplifier function is executed by the sound system amplifier control unit in code 853 ("Midline" sound system). In these cases, a separate subwoofer amplifier is not installed.
Location
The subwoofer amplifier is located in the trunk/load compartment under the floor or behind the side trim.
