Check ball joints (17k) for play by pulling and pushing firmly on the cross struts (17). Replace cross struts (17) in event of complaint subject to separate repair order: ↓ Remove/install cross strut at front axle:

3	Check boots (18m) and ball joints (18k) of torque struts (18)	Check boots (18m) for condition, leak tightness and correct seat. Check ball joints (18k) for play by pulling and pushing firmly on the torque struts (18). Replace strut rods (18) in event of complaint subject to separate repair order: ↓ Remove/install torque strut at front axle:
