Location

The turn rate, lateral acceleration and longitudinal acceleration sensor is on the vehicle floor underneath the vehicle seat.

Tasks

The yaw rate sensor for lateral and longitudinal acceleration measures the turn rate around the vertical axis.

The integrated lateral acceleration sensor (AY sensor) measures the lateral acceleration.

The integrated longitudinal acceleration sensor (AX pickup) determines the pitching motion.

The signals are read in by the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) via dynamics CAN (CAN H).
