Decision-making aid when checking corroded component parts 

Blistering/corrosion of the brake line coating, without pits/material loss in the base material. Brake lines that exhibit surface corrosion and where there is no corrosion penetration/pits or structural damage to the base material must be cleaned and then preservation agent applied to the brake lines subject to a separate repair order in accordance with the corresponding country-specific regulations for mobility and body shell complaints and after consultation with the customer with regard to any costs that may be incurred.

Brake lines that exhibit advanced corrosion with corrosion penetration/pits or structural damage to the base material must be partially or completely replaced subject to a separate repair order in accordance with the corresponding country-specific regulations for mobility and body shell complaints and after consultation with the customer with regard to any costs may be incurred.
