MODIFICATION NOTES

25.04.2021 Cooling system   BF20.00-P-1C01-06D
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

  1. Release and disconnect boost pressure control flap actuator electrical connector (M16/7).
  2. Release and disconnect electrical connection at intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/1).
  3. Release and disconnect electrical connection at exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/2).
  4. Unclip electric line from the front cover on the cylinder head, the bracket on the cylinder head cover, and the timing case cover.
  5. Release and disconnect electrical connection at intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/15).
  6. Release and disconnect electrical connection at exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/16).
  7. Unclip lambda sensor electrical connector upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/2) from the bracket and release and disconnect.
  8. Unclip lambda sensor electrical connector downstream of the catalytic converter (G3/1) from the bracket and release and disconnect.
  9. Unclip electrical wiring harness from rear engine lifting lug.
  10. Remove cable duct from the cylinder head cover, rail, and high-pressure pump shielding with SPECIAL TOOL tool kit TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  11. Release and disconnect electrical connection at intake camshaft valve lift switching actuator (Y49/8).
  12. Release and disconnect electrical connection at fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25).
  13. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 1 ignition coil (T1/1).
  14. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 2 ignition coil (T1/2).
  15. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 3 ignition coil (T1/3).
  16. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 4 ignition coil (T1/4).
  17. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y76/1).
  18. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 2 fuel injector (Y76/2).
  19. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 3 fuel injector (Y76/3).
  20. Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 4 fuel injector (Y76/4).
  21. Release and disconnect electrical connector of fuel high-pressure pump.
  22. Release and disconnect electrical connector of knock sensor 1 (A16/1).
  23. Remove vent line from cylinder head cover using SPECIAL TOOL hose clamp pliers and seal openings SPECIAL TOOL with suitable stop plugs.
  24. Place electrical wiring harness to one side.
  25. Connect in reverse order.
  26. Check coolant level and correct if necessary Engine 264 in model 167
