- Release and disconnect boost pressure control flap actuator electrical connector (M16/7).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection at intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/1).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection at exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/2).
- Unclip electric line from the front cover on the cylinder head, the bracket on the cylinder head cover, and the timing case cover.
- Release and disconnect electrical connection at intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/15).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection at exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/16).
- Unclip lambda sensor electrical connector upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/2) from the bracket and release and disconnect.
- Unclip lambda sensor electrical connector downstream of the catalytic converter (G3/1) from the bracket and release and disconnect.
- Unclip electrical wiring harness from rear engine lifting lug.
- Remove cable duct from the cylinder head cover, rail, and high-pressure pump shielding with
tool kit
- Release and disconnect electrical connection at intake camshaft valve lift switching actuator (Y49/8).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection at fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 1 ignition coil (T1/1).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 2 ignition coil (T1/2).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 3 ignition coil (T1/3).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 4 ignition coil (T1/4).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y76/1).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 2 fuel injector (Y76/2).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 3 fuel injector (Y76/3).
- Release and disconnect electrical connection for cylinder 4 fuel injector (Y76/4).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of fuel high-pressure pump.
- Release and disconnect electrical connector of knock sensor 1 (A16/1).
- Remove vent line from cylinder head cover using
hose clamp pliers and seal openings
with suitable stop plugs.
- Place electrical wiring harness to one side.
- Connect in reverse order.
