The following operation steps describe installation in a left-hand drive vehicle. With right-hand drive vehicles these operation steps must be carried out mirror-inverted.

1. Remove ventilation duct (12).
2. Remove footrest (13).

3. Remove black multiple fuse holder (14) from fuse box on front passenger-side A-pillar.
4. Remove blue 6-pin connector socket (8) from black multiple fuse holder (14).

   The slot of the blue 6-pin connector socket (8) in the black multiple fuse holder (14) is marked with"MF2".

5. Install contact spring 2.8 (2) of red line (RD) of created wiring harness (1) in contact cavity "5" of blue 6-pin connector socket (8).

   Contact cavity "5" of the blue 6-pin connector socket (8) is labeled.

6. Install blue, 6-pin connector socket (8) into black, multiple fuse holder (14).

   The slot of the blue 6-pin connector socket (8) in the black multiple fuse holder (14) is marked with"MF2".

7. Reinstall black multiple fuse holder (14) together with the other fuse holders into fuse box on front passenger side A-pillar (F1/3).

   Ensure correct seating and proper engagement of fuse holders in front passenger side A-pillar fuse box (F1/3).

   Otherwise, the fuses may work themselves loose and connected systems may then malfunction.

8. Route wiring harness (1) along the vehicle wiring harnesses below the device installation frame of the head unit up to the center console.

   Ensure wiring harness is routed correctly and free of chafing points.

   Otherwise, the wiring harness (1) may be damaged.

9. Fix wiring harness (1) in place using cable ties (arrows) and felt tape (f).

10. Remove black 8-pin connector housing (9) from blue supporting body (10).

    The blue supporting body (10) was connected to the multimedia connection unit.

11. Install contact spring (4) of red line (RD) in contact cavity "5" of black 8-pin connector housing (9).
12. Install black 8-pin connector housing (9) into blue supporting body (10).

    Connect blue supporting body (10) at a later stage to the multimedia connection unit.

13. Install footrest (13).

    Do not trap the electric lines.

    Otherwise, the electrical lines may be damaged and the connected systems malfunction.

14. Install ventilation duct (12).
