Prepare B-Pillar For Installation - Ar63.20-P-1350-07LWR

Model 205.4 

1. Mark and cut separating point on mounting rail (5) (area A).

   Transfer separation points from vehicle.

2. Expose spot welds on mounting rail (5) and drill with 0 6.5 mm (areas B).
3. Remove section of mounting rail (5).

   The section of mounting rail (5) is reused.

4. Grind mating surfaces of mounting rail (5) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
5. Remove grinding dust.
6. Coat insides of mounting rail (5) with zinc dust paint.

7. Mark separating point on B-pillar (1) and cut (area C).

   Transfer separation points from vehicle.

8. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on B-pillar (1 in cross-hatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges on B-pillar (1) with zinc dust paint.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas D).

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
