The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on MODEL 205.0 and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Install B-pillar reinforcement (2) with portal bracket, fit and fix in place.
Use spacers.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in B-pillar reinforcement (2) (area A).

Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in B-pillar reinforcement (2) (areas B).

Countersink rivet holes (areas A and B).
- Remove portal bracket and B-pillar reinforcement (2).
- Deburr rivet holes on B-pillar reinforcement (2) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Apply sealant to foam parts on A-pillar reinforcement (2) in crosshatched areas.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Install B-pillar reinforcement (2) with portal bracket.
Use spacers.
- Model 205.0/1/2
Rivet B-pillar reinforcement (2) with 0 6.5x12.5 rivets (area D).

Rivet B-pillar reinforcement (2) with 0 6.4x15.5 countersunk blind rivet (area C and D).
- B-pillar reinforcement (2)

- B-pillar reinforcement (2)
(areas F).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
- Grind inert gas welds down flat on B-pillar reinforcement (2) (areas F).
Grind down flat on contact surfaces on B-pillar paneling and beaded area only.
- Clean weld joints no longer accessible after installing A-pillar reinforcement and coat with zinc dust paint.
- B-pillar reinforcement (2)
(area G).
- Install B-pillar paneling (1, fit and fix in place.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in B-pillar paneling (1) (area H).
- Remove B-pillar paneling (1).
- Deburr rivet holes on B-pillar paneling (1) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Model 205.0/1/2
Apply sealant to foam parts in crosshatched areas (areas I).
- Model 205.0/1/2
Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched area on body (area J).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched area on body (areas Q).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.
- Install B-pillar paneling (1) and fix in place.
- Rivet B-pillar paneling (1) with Ø 6.4x12 rivets (area K).
- B-pillar paneling (1)
(areas L).
- B-pillar paneling (1)
(areas M).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
- Grind inert gas welds down flat (areas M).
- Solder surfaces on B-pillar paneling (1) with body solder and smooth (areas M).
- Remove solder residues and grinding dust.
