Separate Inner Rear Wheelhouse - Ar63.10-P-0670-01LWR

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Expose spot welds on front end plate (3) and cut out (areas A).
Cut out common spot welds on front end plate (3) and wheel well through two sheet metal thicknesses.
- Expose impact nails on front end plate (3) and rear end plate (4) and cut out (areas B).
- Expose self-piercing riveting on front end plate (3) and rear end plate (4) and drill with Ø 6 mm (areas C).
- Expose insert gas welds on front end plate (3) and cut (areas D).
- Heat front end plate (3) and rear end plate (4) in crosshatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove front end plate (3) and rear end plate (4).
- Expose spot welds on wheel well (1) and mounting console (2) and cut out (areas E).
- Expose self-piecing riveting on wheel well (1) and drill with Ø 6 mm bit (areas F).
- Heat wheel well (1) in crosshatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove wheel well (1) with mounting console (2).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas H).
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas G).
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
