Remove Outer Rear Wheel Well - Ar63.10-P-0660-01LWR

Model 205.4 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Mark separating point on outer rear wheel well (1) and cut (area A).

    NOTES Do not cut too deeply.

    Otherwise the components behind can be damaged and weakened.

    IMPORTANT Dimensions:

    a = approx. 20 mm

  2. Expose spot welds on outer rear wheel well (1) and cut out (areas B).
  3. Bend open sheet metal lugs (arrows).

  4. Expose spot welds on outer rear wheel well (1) and cut out (area C).
  5. Heat outer rear wheel well (1) in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

  6. Remove outer rear wheel well (1).

  7. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  8. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surface with zinc dust paint (area D).

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
