Remove Outer Rear Wheel Well - Ar63.10-P-0660-01LWR

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Mark separating point on outer rear wheel well (1) and cut (area A).
Do not cut too deeply.
Otherwise the components behind can be damaged and weakened.
Dimensions:
a = approx. 20 mm
- Expose spot welds on outer rear wheel well (1) and cut out (areas B).
- Bend open sheet metal lugs (arrows).
- Expose spot welds on outer rear wheel well (1) and cut out (area C).
- Heat outer rear wheel well (1) in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove outer rear wheel well (1).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not coat bonding surface with zinc dust paint (area D).
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
