| 1 | Remove rear center section paneling (1) and loosen right side paneling (2) in area of tail lamp | AR68.30-P-4600LW | |
| 2 | Disconnect electrical connector (6) from trunk lid/liftgate control warning buzzer (H4/60) | Model 205.0/1/3 with code 871 (Sensor system for trunk lid opening/closing) with code 881 (Remote boot-lid closing) |

| 3 | Unclip retaining clips (4, 5) and remove housing (3) from body | ||
| 4 | Remove insulation (7) from housing (3) and expose trunk lid/liftgate lock element (M14/31) | ||
| 5 | Unclip wire (11) from bracket (9) and unhook from relay lever (10) | ||
| 6 | Disconnect electrical connector (8) and remove trunk lid/liftgate lock element (M14/31) | ||
| 7 | Mark installation position of lock striker (12) on rear center section (arrows) | ||
| 8 | Unscrew bolts (14) and remove lock striker (12) with wire (11) | ||
| Install | |||
| 9 | Position lock striker (12) with wire (11) on rear center section and tighten bolts (14) | ||
| 10 | Connect electrical connection (8) | ||
| 11 | Hook wire (11) into relay lever (10) and clip intro bracket (9) | ||
| 12 | Insert trunk lid/liftgate lock element (M14/31) into insulation (7) and then install into housing (3) | ||
| 13 | The housing (3) is fastened to the body with retaining clips (4, 5) | ||
| 14 | Connect electrical connector (6) to trunk lid/liftgate control warning buzzer (H4/60) | Model 205.0/1/3 with code 871 (Sensor system for trunk lid opening/closing) with code 881 (Remote boot-lid closing) | |
