- Expose spot welds on front roof frame (1) and cut off (area A).
- Remove front roof frame (1).
- Expose spot welds on mounting support (2) and cut off (area B).
- Remove mounting support (2).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
