Repair shown on model 177.1, perform work on model 177.9 in the same way.

1. Insert set of spacer blocks at undamaged side between center roof paneling(1) and side roof paneling and adjust to dimension.

   During installation, center roof paneling(1) can be fitted with adjusted set of spacer blocks.

2. Mark positions of set of spacer blocks at vehicle and note down dimensions.
3. Determine dimensions from outer edge of center roof paneling (1) to outer edge of front and rear roof rack.

4. Mark positions of measuring points on vehicle and note dimensions.
5. Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and cut out (areas A).
6. Separate bondings of center roof paneling(1) in cross-hatched area using cutting wire (area C).
7. Heat center roof paneling(1) in cross-hatched area (area D).
8. Remove center roof paneling (1).

9. Remove remaining adhesive in area of roof frame. (areas E and G).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

10. Touch up bare spots in area of roof frame with primer stick (areas E and G).
11. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas (areas F).

    Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

12. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
13. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges. (areas A).
