Insert set of spacer blocks at undamaged side between center roof paneling (1) and side roof paneling and adjust to dimension.
During installation, center roof paneling (1) can be fitted with adjusted
- Mark positions of
- Determine dimensions from outer edge of center roof paneling (1) to outer edge of front and rear roof rack.
- Mark positions of measuring points on vehicle and note dimensions.
- Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and cut out (areas A).
- Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and cut out (area B).
- Separate bondings of center roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched area using cutting wire (area C).
- Heat center roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched area (area D).
- Remove center roof paneling (1).
- Remove remaining adhesive in area of roof frame. (areas E and G).
- Touch up bare spots in area of roof frame with primer stick (areas E and G).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas (areas F).
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Apply zinc dust paint in cross-hatched area onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
