Prepare Side Roof Paneling For Installation - Ar65.10-P-1020-02MFV

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage, these steps must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

Repair is shown on model 177.1.

1. Mark separating points on the side roof paneling (1) and cut (areas D₁ , D ₂ and D₃ ).

   Transfer separation points from vehicle.

2. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

3. Remove shavings.
4. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
