(Risk Of Explosion Caused By Test Oil Being Ignited. Risk Of Injury To Skin And Eyes Caused By Test Oil Streaming Out - AS07.03-Z-0001-01A)
Engine 384, 601, 606
Engine All in model 397
Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area. Only check injection nozzles in the nozzle testing device. Do not touch the injection nozzle stream.
Potential risks
Risk of explosion!
Calibration fluid that escapes during the injection nozzle test is under high pressure and is very finely atomized. The calibration fluid mist hereby created is combustible and may trigger an explosion in combination with ignition sources, e.g. electrical sparks, cigarettes or open flames.
Risk of injury
In the event of contact with the stream of the injection nozzle, this can penetrate deep into the skin and destroy the tissue. Diesel fuel or calibration fluid that enters the blood can lead to blood poisoning.
Safety instructions/precautions
- Keep ignition sources such as electrical sparks, cigarettes or open flames away from the nozzle testing device.
- Do not check injection nozzles in the open, but rather in the nozzle testing device.
- Keep the stream of the injection nozzle away from skin and eyes.
First aid measures
- Clean the wound
- If blood poisoning is suspected, bandage the part of the body affected and consult a physician.
