The following work procedure is described based on the "Retail" routing diagram.
- Route dashcam wiring harness (8) from front dashcam mount (8.15) under roof lining toward the right to A-pillar.
- Fasten ferrite cores (8.2) of dashcam wiring harness (8) to roof lining using felt tape.
- Route three single lines (8.3, GN, RD) of dashcam wiring harness (8) above window airbag (30) up to footwell.
Route three single lines (8.3, GN, RD) of dashcam wiring harness (8) through cable duct behind crossmember for instrument panel.
Use a pull-through device.
- Route and connect ground line (8.3) of dashcam wiring harness (8) to front right footwell ground point (W15).
- Route two single lines (GN, RD) of dashcam wiring harness (8) to vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4) at right.
- Remove electrical fuse (29) from slot 124 (arrow A) of vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4).
The electrical fuse (29) is reused.
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (29) is 20 A.
- Remove electrical fuse (25) from slot 116 (arrow B) of vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4).
The electrical fuse (25) is reused.
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (25) is 7.5 A.
- Release fuse holder (30) of vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4) (arrows D) and remove.
- Release fuse holder (26) of vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4) (arrows E) and remove.
- Remove red/yellow line (20) from contact cavity "5" (arrow) of fuse holder (30).
Take appropriate tool from the
basic wiring harness repair kit or the
supplementary passenger car wiring harness repair kit.
- Install blue/white line (BU/WH) of dashcam wiring harness (8) into fuse holder (10).
- Install removed red/yellow line (20) into free contact cavity of fuse holder (10).
- Install green line (GN) into contact cavity "5" (arrow) of fuse holder (30).
- Install electrical fuse (11) included in parts kit into fuse holder (10).
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (11) is 25 A.
- Remove red line (38) from contact cavity "4" (arrow) of fuse holder (26).
Take appropriate tool from the
basic wiring harness repair kit or the
supplementary passenger car wiring harness repair kit.
- Install removed red line (38) into free contact cavity of fuse holder (9.1).
- Install Y-line (9) into contact cavity "4" (arrow) of fuse holder (26).
- Install red line (RD) of dashcam wiring harness (8) into fuse holder (9.2).
- Install electrical fuse (12) included in parts kit into fuse holder (9.2).
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (12) is 5 A.
- Install electrical fuse (25) into fuse holder (9.1).
The electrical fuse (25) was removed beforehand.
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (25) is 7.5 A.
- Lock both fuse holders (26, 30) at vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4) again.
- Assemble retrofitted fuse holders (9.1, 9.2, 10).
- Fasten fuse holders (9.1, 9.2, 10) with cable ties.
- Install electrical fuse (29) into slot 124 (arrow A) of vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4).
The electrical fuse (29) was removed beforehand.
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (29) is 20 A.
- Install electrical fuse (13) included in parts kit into slot 116 (arrow B) of vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152/4).
The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (13) is 15 A.
- Route branch-off line for rear dashcam of dashcam wiring harness (8) on roof lining towards rear up to center of roof lining.
On vehicles with code 413 (Panoramic sliding sunroof/panoramic roof)
Route branch-off line for rear dashcam behind mount for rear clothes hook (arrow).
On vehicles without code 413 (Panoramic sliding sunroof/panoramic roof)
Route dashcam wiring harness (8) in front area at same height.
Route branch-off line for rear dashcam behind mount for rear grab handle.
- Strap down extended lengths of dashcam wiring harness (8) in area of their routing.
- Fasten dashcam wiring harness (8) on roof lining using felt adhesive tape.

- Route dashcam wiring harness (8) by dimension (a) beyond edge of cutout for additional brake lamp in roof lining (b).
