	Remove
1	Move driver's and front passenger seat backward.
2	Remove right and left inner door sills.
			AR68.30-P-4101MFA
3	Release door seals in right and left entrance area.
4	Remove right and left door sills.	The door sills are no longer required.

5	Unscrew nut on cover of lower steering shaft in driver footwell and remove cover.
6	Release vehicle interior fuse and relay module.
		Do not disconnect electrical leads.	AR54.15-P-1312MFA
	Install
7	Retrofit electrical wiring harness for illuminated door sill molding.		AZ82.20-P-0005-01MFA

8	Retrofit front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48).		AZ82.20-P-0005-10MFA

9	Retrofit illuminated door sill moldings control unit.		AZ82.20-P-0005-05MFA

10	Install remaining parts.
	Check
11	Carry out operational check.	Front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) or front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) is switched on by opening the corresponding front door. Automatic shutoff takes place after approx. 5 min.
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
12	Attach note "Illuminated door sill moldings with Mercedes-Benz lettering at front retrofitted as per AR82.20-P-0005MFA" under field organization texts on DG 68 and DG 82.
