DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  due to fan starting 1  unexpectedly 1  Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle AS00.00-Z-0017-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove all detachable parts in repair area.    
2 Remove screw (2) on left and right. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, assembly carrier at top to body *BA62.30-P-1007-02O 
3 Remove screw/bolts (3). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace screw/bolts (3). After performing fitting work, always tighten the center screw(3) first, then the outer screws.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, impact absorber/mounting support to longitudinal member *BA62.30-P-1002-02O 
4 Unscrew screw (4) on left and right. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, assembly carrier at bottom to mounting support *BA62.30-P-1008-02O 
5 Remove front crossmember (1 a) together with front reinforcement (1b).    
6 Remove screws (7). Model 118.3/6

7 Remove front supports (1c) from front crossmember (1a). Model 118.3/6

8 Remove screws (5).    
Notice Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process   AH00.00-P-0020-01A
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, impact absorber/absorber to crossmember *BA62.30-P-1001-02O 
9 Remove front crossmember (1a).    
10 Remove support (6).    
11 Remove front reinforcement (1b).    
12 Remove support (8).    
13 Install in the reverse order.    
14 Fit front module with front reinforcement (1b). IMPORTANT Remove bumper after adjustment work.  
    IMPORTANT Tighten the center screw(3) first, then the outer screws.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, assembly carrier at top to body *BA62.30-P-1007-02O 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, impact absorber/mounting support to longitudinal member *BA62.30-P-1002-02O 
15 Adjust gap dimensions on lamp units and the bumper. HAND-HELD TESTER Model 118.3/6 Engine hood to bumper *BE60.00-P-1001-01NA
