Notice	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	Remove
1	Unclip cover (1) (arrows) and remove.	Long wedge	Fig 2
2	Unclip mirror base cover(4) from mirror base.
3	Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).
4	Press retaining clamps (3) and release using a suitable tool.
5	Remove rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2).	Make sure that the coupling medium together with the rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2) is removed from the windshield without leaving any residue.
	Install
6	Install rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2) and lock retaining clamps (3).		AR82.30-P-7802-01ME
		The windshield must be free of residue and dry in the area of the rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2). Otherwise there may be damage and malfunctions. Otherwise there may be damage and malfunctions. Do not touch coupling medium of rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2). Do not soil the coupling medium. Otherwise it may be damaged and malfunctions may occur. As a matter of principle, replace rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2). Remove transport protection cap of rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2).f the coupling medium is damaged, the rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2) must be replaced.
7	Connect electrical connector (2).
8	Install mirror base cover (4).
9	Install cover (1).
	Initial startup
10	Perform initial startup of rain/light sensor with additional function (B38/2).	When replacing rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/2) or when replacing windshield.
