Overview
This document contains information on the tasks, location and structure of the mobile phone cradle control unit.
General
The mobile phone cradle control unit has the following functions:
- Inductive charging
- NFC interface for Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi authorization
- NFC interface for mobile phone authorization
- Mobile phone connection to vehicle outer antenna (equipment specific)
Location
The mobile phone cradle control units are installed in the instrument panel, front/rear passenger compartment center console and rear passenger compartment armrest areas.
Function requirement
- Circuit 15R on
Structure
Depending on the equipment and Model, the mobile phone cradle control unit contains the following components:
- NFC antenna
- Connection for another external NFC antenna
- Induction loop for inductive charging
- Antenna for capacitive coupling with the car antenna
