Drain/Pour In Coolant - AR20.00-P-1142W

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

  Drain off     
1 Slowly unscrew cap (2) on coolant expansion reservoir (4), relieve overpressure and remove cap (2)    
2 Remove lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105W
3 Push drain hose (3) onto fitting (3a) on radiator (6)    
4 Open drain screw (7) on cooler (6) and collect coolant in a suitable container IMPORTANT Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.  
  Pour in     
5 Screw tight drain screw (7) at radiator (6)    
6 Detach drain hose (3) from fitting (3a)    
7 Pour in coolant and ventilate engine cooling system    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Anticorrosion/antifreeze agents (Specification 325.0)   BB00.40-P-0325-00A
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Coolant specifications   BB00.40-P-0310-01A
      AR20.00-P-1142-04A 
    IMPORTANT Re-use clean coolant.

8 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness   AR20.00-P-1010W 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9 Perform an engine test run and check engine cooling system for proper operation
