  Risk of death  when working on component parts and systems with U >= 30 V alternating voltage (AC) or U >= 60 V direct voltage (DC) Do not touch damaged or defective live component parts and lines or non-insulated electrical connections and lines. AS00.00-Z-0035-01A
  Risk of explosion/risk of fire  caused by highly flammable materials in the vicinity of damaged xenon bulbs.
Risk of injury  caused by UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters produced by bursting xenon bulbs.
Risk of poisoning  caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by swallowing of/skin contact with toxic salts and mercury compounds.
Do not touch parts conducting high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. cardiac pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off the entire lighting system. Wear insulated safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the danger zone. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. AS82.10-Z-0001-01A 
    NOTES
Do not touch the glass of the bulbs with your bare fingers; instead use a soft cloth that is free of oil and grease,
otherwise the bulbs can be damaged during operation due to overheating.
 
    NOTES
Switch off the exterior lights before changing the bulbs in order to avoid a short circuit.
 
  Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO).  
  Open service flap in left or right front fender liner IMPORTANT When removing left xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E1e10) or right xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E2e10).  
E1e9, E2e9 Left cornering lights, right cornering lights IMPORTANT Remove housing cover (2). Disconnect electrical connector (3) and remove left cornering light (E1e9) or right cornering light (E2e9).  
E1e10, E2e10 Left xenon bulb with integrated ignition module, right xenon bulb with integrated ignition module NOTES
Pull left xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E1e10) or right xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E2e10) carefully out of reflector.
Risk of breakage.
IMPORTANT Detach housing cover (1), release bracket (4), fold up and remove left xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E1e10) or right xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E2e10).
Disconnect electrical connector (5) and remove left xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E1e10) or right xenon bulb with integrated ignition module (E2e10).
