Remove/Install Battery For E-Call Russia Control Unit - AR82.95-P-0051RK

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)    
2 Remove cover (9) of instrument panel on front passenger side NOTES Pay particular attention to the cleanliness of the tools used.
To prevent soiling the trim parts.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Mounting wedge Fig 2
3 Detach battery (8) from instrument panel strut INSTALLATION IMPORTANT
Ensure proper routing of the electrical wiring harness and electrical connectors as well as proper insulation of the battery (8).
To prevent noises during driving operation.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install new mounting materials.
 
4 Expose electrical wiring harness of battery (8) up to electrical connector INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install new mounting materials.
Route electrical wiring harness along fastening points loosened during removal.
 
5 Release and disconnect electrical connector of battery (8)    
6 Wrap felt tape around battery (8) If installing a new battery (8).  
7 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
8 To activate the self-test of the eCall Russia (GLONASS) control unit (N167), press and hold button (1) for approximately 1 s IMPORTANT Several announcements are made during the self-test.
If at the end of the self-test all indicator lamps (2) and the SOS button light steadily for 5 s, this means that the self-test was successful.
