Install Wiring Harness Of Additional Fan For COMAND® - AN82.85-P-0005-02W

MODEL 172.4## 

(except 172.475) 1# 

1. Wrap felt tape (12) around COMAND® fan motor wiring harness (3).
2. Connect white 4-pin coupling (3.1) and white 4-pin connector (11.1) to electrical connector of radio fan (X120).
3. Route COMAND® fan motor wiring harness (3), as shown, to black 44-pin coupling (13) of COMAND® controller unit.

4. Remove black 12-pin coupling (13.1) from black 44-pin coupling (13).
5. Remove insert (13.2) from black 12-pin coupling (13.1).

6. Install COMAND® fan motor wiring harness (3) in insert (13.2) of black 12-pin coupling.

   Assignment of insert (13.2) as follows:

   • Gray/yellow line (gr/ge) in contact cavity "1"
   • Brown/yellow line (br/ge) in contact cavity "2"
   • Gray line (gr) in contact cavity "7"
   • Red/yellow line (rt/ge) in contact cavity "8"

7. Install insert (13.2) in black 12-pin coupling (13.1).
8. Install black 12-pin coupling (13.1) onto black, 34-pin coupling (13).
9. Attach COMAND® fan motor wiring harness (3) to the vehicle wiring harness (14) using a cable tie
