| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||

| 3 | Detach battery (8) from instrument panel strut | Ensure proper routing of the electrical wiring harness and electrical connectors as well as proper insulation of the battery (8). To prevent noises during driving operation. |

| 4 | Expose electrical wiring harness of battery (8) up to electrical connector | Route electrical wiring harness along fastening points loosened during removal. |

| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector of battery (8) | ||
| 6 | Wrap felt tape around battery (8) | If installing a new battery (8). | |
