	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove paneling from trunk lid (1)		AR68.30-P-8150RK
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO).
3	Press in clamps (2) at center brake lamp (E21) and unlatch	There are 6 clamps (2) on each long side.
4	Press center brake lamp (E21) out of trunk lid (1)	Evenly press out center brake lamp (E21). Otherwise there is a risk of breakage in the center (arrow A).
5	Disconnect electrical connector (3) and remove center brake lamp (E21)	Always replace seal (4). Ensure that clamps (2) are seated correctly (arrow B).
	Clean
6	Remove sealant residues from center brake lamp sealing surface (E21) and clean thoroughly	The sealing surface should be free of grease and dust. Leaks can occur otherwise. Observe air drying time for cleaning agent. Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
7	Install in the reverse order
