	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	Remove/install
1	Buffer basic data from sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Only when replacing sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	The basic data is required for initial startup of the new sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Remove rear right side paneling		AR68.30-P-4780RK
3	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) only with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO).
4	Remove rear luggage box		AR68.30-P-7440RK
5	Disconnect electrical connector (1) and optical fiber connector (2) from sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3)
	Notes on avoiding damage to optical fibers during repair work		AH82.60-P-0001-05AK
6	Unscrew nuts (3) and remove sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3)
7	Remove optical fiber connector (2) and equipment connector at sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3)	Cover contacts from optical fibers with protective cap, stop plugs or a clean rag. Soiled or scratched surfaces weaken the light.
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Transfer buffered basic data onto sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Only when replacing sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
10	Perform function test
