REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag unit with deployment face up, do not subject to temperatures above 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by release of spring in the automatic belt retractor. Never disassemble automatic belt retractors. AS91.00-Z-0002-01A

1 Remove rear side paneling   AR68.30-P-4780RK
2 Move front seat forward and upward    
3 Unclip backrest hinge cover (1) and remove    
4 Remove belt end fitting (2) at seat   AR91.40-P-1030-02A
5 Remove belt (3) from belt guide (4)    
6 Remove screw/bolt (5) and remove belt guide bracket (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.40-P-1025-01A 
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of injury  caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or metal spatter due to short circuit. Risk of burn injuries  caused by short circuit. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or absorption of lead over the skin or orifices No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards.
Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground.
Only fill liquid battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

7 Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1)   AR54.10-P-0003RK

IMPORTANT Notes on AGM battery   AH54.10-P-0002-01A
8 Disconnect electrical connector (7) from left front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76) or right front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76/1)    
9 Remove bolts (8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.40-P-1024-01A 
10 Remove left front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76) or right front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76/1) IMPORTANT Do not open left front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76) or right front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76/1).
In the event of a replacement, the removed parts must be disposed of properly.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure correct seating.
 
REFER TO FORMS Notes on disposing of airbag and emergency tensioning retractor units   OS91.00-P-0001-01A
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Connect Star Diagnosis and check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Only when replacing left front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76) or right front reversible emergency tensioning retractor (A76/1). AD00.00-P-2000-04A
