	Remove/install
1	Move head restraint down
2	Move steering column all the way forward and all the way up	When removing the front seat (1) on the driver side.
3	Move front seat (1) backwards and all the way to top
4	Extend the seat cushion by approx. 20 mm
5	Unclip cover (2) on guide rails
6	Remove screws/bolts (3) from guide rails	Bolt, front seat to vehicle floor	*BA91.10-P-1001-01S
7	Adjust front seat (1) to front
8	Disconnect belt end fitting (6)	Model 222	AR91.40-P-1030-02LF
9	Unclip covers (4) on guide rails
10	Remove screws/bolts (5) from guide rails	Bolt, front seat to vehicle floor	*BA91.10-P-1001-01S
11	Move front seat (1) to center position
12	Open soft top	Model 217.4
13	Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery		AR54.10-P-0003LF
14	Tilt back front seat (1)
15	Disconnect electrical connectors at bottom at front seat (1) and place to one side with electrical wiring harness	The number of electrical connectors depends on the equipment installed.
16	Disconnect pneumatic line from bottom of front seat (1)	Model 217 with code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat) Model 222 with code 432 (Left and right dynamic multicontour seat)
17.1	Cover up center console and door sill	When removing the front seat (1) on the passenger side.

17.2	Cover center console, door sill and steering wheel	When removing the front seat (1) on the driver side.

18	Remove front seat (1) from the vehicle through the door cutout for the front door	Carefully remove front seat (1) from vehicle. Otherwise adjacent components may be damaged. Helper required. :  Check that the lock pin for the guide rail is correctly seated in the vehicle floor.
19	Install in the reverse order
