Remove/Install Windshield Washer System Fluid Reservoir - AR82.35-P-6000LF

DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Raise vehicle    
2 Remove expansion rivet (2) from right front fender liner SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Fig 1
3 Open engine hood    
4 Remove right intake air duct upstream of air filter (4)    
5 Remove cover (3)    
6 Unclip coolant line (6) from washer fluid reservoir (1)    
7 Unclip coolant lines (8) from washer fluid reservoir (1)    
8 Disconnect electrical connector (7)    
9 Remove screw/bolt (5)    
10 Unclip coolant expansion reservoir (9) from the supports and place to one side with connected coolant lines (8)    
11 Remove screws/bolts (10)    
12 Raise washer fluid reservoir (1) far enough until the windshield washer system pump (M5/1) is accessible    
13 Remove windshield washer system pump (M5/1) from washer fluid reservoir (1) and place to one side with connected electrical line and washer fluid hose IMPORTANT Collect washer fluid which flows out.  
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace seal.

14 Remove infrared camera washer fluid pump from the washer fluid reservoir (1) and place to one side with connected electrical line and washer fluid hose MODEL 217, 222
with CODE 610 (Night View Assist Plus)
 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace seal.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Mounting wedge Fig 2
15 Disconnect electrical connection (12)    
16 Remove heat exchanger (11) from washer fluid reservoir (1) and place to one side with connected coolant lines MODEL 217 MODEL 222
with CODE 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL, heated)
 
17 Take off washer fluid reservoir (1)    
18 Remove switch for windshield washer system washer fluid level (S42) from washer fluid reservoir (1) When replacing the washer fluid reservoir (1).  
19 Install in the reverse order    
20 Fill washer fluid reservoir (1)    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP82.35-P-8210HA
