Revitalization, Basic Function - GF82.90-P-9900A

Model all (CAR)

Overview

This document contains information on:

General

The revitalization functions should enhance the well-being and health of the vehicle occupants. The revitalization functions actuate the following systems for this such as, e.g. seats, seat heating, air conditioning system and the multimedia system.

Function requirements

IMPORTANT When the affected functions are switched on again, range maximization is canceled for the entire range of each function.

Function

Seat kinetics

The function is available for electrically adjustable front seats with memory function.

Seat kinetics use minor movements of the seat cushion and seat backrest to increase or ease the strain on muscles and joints. To do so, the seat control unit adjusts the seat cushion and seat backrest inclination cyclically by a few degrees in both directions around the configured seat position. If the seat kinetics function moves the seat backrest forward, the seat cushion moves up at the same time and vice versa.

On vehicles with multicontour seat, the seat kinetics function also actuates the lumbar support in cyclical movements.

The system is operated through the multimedia system.

Comfort control

On vehicles with comfort control or a "Fit and Healthy" package. Comfort control combines several comfort functions and groups them into programs. The programs support the driver, for example, in monotonous driving situations with the aid of energizing programs and, in emotionally-stressful situations, with relaxing programs.

The function is controlled by the multimedia system control unit. In the rear passenger compartment, the function is controlled by the Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit.

To implement the programs, comfort control actuates the following systems depending on the equipment installed and the selected program:

The system is operated through the multimedia system. The comfort control system contains the following programs:

Comfort control assistant

On vehicles with Mercedes me connect and a "Fit and Healthy" package.

Requirements:

The comfort control assistant evaluates the driving dynamics and driver situation and recommends programs for comfort control. The comfort control assistant evaluates the following vehicle data:

The vehicle data is transferred via the telematics services control unit to the Daimler Vehicle Back End. There, the program recommendations are determined from the data and displayed via the notification center in the vehicle.

The comfort control assistant also supports the evaluation of data from several fitness trackers. To do this, the account of the fitness tracker must be linked with the Mercedes me account. The comfort control assistant then evaluates sleeping quality and pulse rate alongside the vehicle data.

If a fitness tracker is connected, the comfort control assistant allows the pulse rate to be shown on the multimedia system display. For this, the data are transferred via the customer's mobile phone via Bluetooth® to the multimedia system control. This function is only available while driving. The data is cleared in the vehicle as soon as the ignition is switched off or a door is opened.
