General

The wiper blade heater is integrated as foil into the wiper blades.

Function requirement

Engine running or drive train operational

Function

When a voltage is applied, the foil heats up because of the electrical resistance. The heat is used to prevent the washer fluid nozzles in the wiper blades from freezing and to prevent the wiper rubber sticking to the windshield.

Their flexibility is retained by heating up the wiper blades all over.

The wiper blade heater is actuated by the front signal acquisition and actuation module.
