The scope of the telematics functions is dependent on the available model-specific equipment, the national version and the telematics generation. The following table indicates which telematics generation is installed in which model and in which period. The overview starts with telematics unit version (NTG) 2.5 and currently extends up to NTG 6.
The "N" in "NTG" stands for "new".
The addition "Star" to the NTG 5 stands for "standard architecture" and describes the adaptation of the NTG to the networking (bus systems) in the vehicle.
