	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position
2	Remove engine cover (5)	Check that the engine cover (5) is seated correctly.
3	Remove left engine intake air duct (9)
4	Remove center section of bulkhead	Ensure correct seating of the center section of the bulkhead.
5	Disconnect electrical connector from pressure sensor downstream of left cylinder bank air filter (B28/4)
6	Unscrew screw/bolt (7) and remove left air filter housing (6)	Make sure that the air filter housing (6) is seated correctly; check the O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.
7	Remove noise insulation (8)	Make sure that the noise insulation (8) at the left cylinder head cover is seated correctly.
8	Detach vacuum line (2) at vacuum pump (1).
9	Detach vacuum hose (4) from vacuum pump (1)
10	Remove bolts (3) from vacuum pump (1)	Replace bolts (3). Model 217, 222 with engine 276.8 Bolt, vacuum pump to cylinder head/cylinder head cover	*BA43.05-P-1001-01K
11	Remove vacuum pump (1) upwards	Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket. Note position of drive plate for vacuum pump (1) during assembly.
12	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
13	Test run engine and carry out leak check
